While Your Heart Beats

when the blue sky turned to gray
you stood by my side and grasped my weary eyes
i grabbed your arm but you loosened it
   and held my hand
i was scared almost numb
you hugged me tight, i closed my eyes, tears fell down
succumbing from your embrace
the wind blew off and the scent of your sweet breeze
    settled in me and
all i can hear was the sound of big waves
    while your heart beats

i opened my eyes, suddenly, i realized
     that you're not around
you left me with a promise to come back
the air gently swept my face, can't hold back my tears
i saw a vague figure of yours, tears still streaming down
i wiped them away and saw your face clearly
you grabbed my arms and wrapped me in yours
and all i can hear is the sound of big waves
        while your heart beats

T Memoirs With Photos

I die everytime my heart breaks. I just recently did when I decided to leave my job in exchange of something unknown to me. Leaving my job is a risk for me bec it meant to leave the people that I came to get along with and to leave the job that I am comfortable of doing.

Lemme share to you the faces of the people that I came to work with and some of them became close to me.

A Walk I Don't Want To Remember

"I walked from Country Mall to Talamban under the pouring rain", I told my parents when I got home last Friday night. They sounded like, "Seriously?" Yes, seriously, with my sarong covering myself and my bag. I carelessly left my umbrella when I left for work.

I left from the office with a dark sky. I assumed that any minute from that moment, it's going to pour. I usually walked 500 meters from from the office to get a ride. That time, I took the detour which is quicker, I rode a public vehicle. It poured when I was about to get a ride. Lucky, I was able to get to a place to stay while it's raining.

It rained so hard and thunders and lightnings were unleashed from the angry sky. I was scared. The rain lasted for an hour. When the pouring slowed, I walk quickly to get a ride but to my surprise, the vehicles of each side of the road can't get through because it was flooding. The level is high up to your hips. I didn't know that the place floods, I reckon it's the first time to happen. I stayed for a bit longer to see more of it and to wait for a miracle: that the water level would quickly lowered down with fingers crossed. It didn't after 5 mins. So, I walked the street to get home. Had I waited, I would get home by midnight.

See, we're so sick of the hot weather and waited for the rain like a lifetime and now it's here but we're not prepared, I thought.

We should've waited with preparation but I see people are throwing and leaving their wastes wherever they want to especially on our drainage and rivers, wow. Trees are cut in hills and mountains and everywhere to develop Cebu City and they're replacing them with tall buildings and housings but without good drainage systems (sigh).

We don't want to play a blame game, so let's start to work together and sort things out for the betterment of everyone and for the future.

They say that that the city is not prepared for the rainy season, do you agree?

How Come Your Hands Can Do It But Not Mine?

I am a fan of doodles, drawings and paintings. As a fan, one time, I tried to copy a picture from a book but when it's done, it was exactly the opposite of what's on the picture. I still tried many times after that but it looked like it's not for me. So, I stopped that crap. I was frustrated and was sick by the thought that the only thing I can do are straight lines but I'm fine now, I guess, I just let it go. It always amazes me to see people who really can do it.

A couple of days ago, my eyes were shining when I saw these beautiful creations (they are really) and I was like "how come your hands can do it but not mine?"☹️. I was back again with the same frustration but I let it go quickly by taking a photo of them.

Moch And Aquin

I saw her dancing with her man, their faces were covered with joy. I was watching from behind the plants in front of their house. Random guests went to dance with them. I was wanting to dance with her but I didn't.

It was a successful event though it was too hot. After the wedding ceremony in their nearest church, guests went to their house which was the venue for the food and the program.

Seriously, I didn't dance with her because I didn't even have the smallest amount of bill(money) to hook up on her dress, haha (just kidding.) Seriously, it's because I knew that we'd be flooded with my tears if I do so. I was just overwhelmed and so happy for her and there was this thing at that moment that took me to the first time that we met and to random times that we're together and I'm just so happy that we're still good friends until now. Thanks for acting like an older sister though I'm a year older and no matter how stupid and bad I could get, you never left. So, in return I sent myself to witness the very first edition of the next chapter of your life.

Enjoy the ride!

I just want to say that I'm just a text or chat or call away, just in case. Thought you should know.

Kidapaws - Lives vs Rice

"Bugas dli bala, bugas dli pulis, bugas dli bombero", cried by the Kidapawan farmers to their local government officials because they were starving to death.

I saw the news on facebook but I ignored this for the first two days because I thought it was nothing but it looks like this is something more serious compared to the posts I came across on facebook after I hit the play button. The farmers were standing side by side with their shields made of wood (not sure though if it was made of wood). Across them were the policemen on their uniforms with all of the things that they need for protection. They came closer to each other and they clashed and I heard loud sounds of guns. There's no clue who was it from or who made the first shot but I saw farmers on the ground bleeding. Then, the next thing I knew was hundreds of sacks of rice were flooding for donation.

These people were starving. They're begging and it's not a crime. I don't know what's the process of the government to give these farmers what they want and I also don't understand why should it took lives before they get what they're solely begging for. If they can't afford to give them what they want in just a span of time, they could've asked for help from higher officials or look for a temporary solution.

Tears were streaming down my face in the midst of the video because it breaks my heart to see them being treated like that. I was worried of their kids crying to sleep and waking up the next day still nothing to eat. Would you want this to happen to your family? No, right? So, when are we willing to do what's right for humanity? Everytime I see or hear this kind of thing, I always end up with, why it's so hard to be kind?

Not Over You - Gavin DeGraw

Dreams
That's where I have to go
To see your beautiful face anymore
I stare at a picture of you
And listen to the radio
Hope
Hope there's a conversation
Where we both admit we had it good
But until then
It's alienation I know
That much is understood
And I realize

If you ask me how I'm doin'
I would say I'm doin' just fine
I would lie and say that you're not on my mind
But I go out
And I sit down
At a table set for two
And finally I'm forced to face the truth
No matter what I say
I'm, not over you

Damn
Damn girl you do it well
And I thought you were innocent
Took this heart and put it through hell
And still your magnificent
I, I'm a boomerang
Doesn't matter how you throw me
Turn around
And I'm back in the game
Even better than the old me
But I'm not even close without you

If you ask me how I'm doin'
I would say I'm doin' just fine
I would lie and say that you're not on my mind
But I go out
And I sit down
At a table set for two
And finally I'm forced to face the truth
No matter what I say
I'm, not over you

And if I had the chance
To renew
You know there isn't a thing I wouldn't do
I could get back on the right track
But only if you'd be convinced
So until then

If you ask me how I'm doin'
I would say I'm doin' just fine
I would lie and say that you're not on my mind
But I go out
And I sit down
At a table set for two
And finally I'm forced to face the truth
No matter what I say
I'm, not over you
Not over you
Not over you
Not over you

Hi TL, I'm not dedicating the song to you but it really reminds me of you. Thanks for doing your best to be more efficient and effective TL to us. We appreciate your effort, just so you know. We'll see you around. :)

How Often Do You Pray?

I placed my customer on a silent hold on the other line, I laid my back on the chair as I was modifying her mobile service and i was like, "Lord, thank You for making things light for me these past few days".

It's one of the ordinary days that I pray any time of the day. I don't usually go to church, I'm a sinner, I make mistakes and I don't deny that but I pray regularly and what I always ask from Him is to keep my faith in Him no matter what.

How often do you pray?

I honestly don't know what's her age but Happiest Birthday to my Lola Patring, one of the strongest woman that I know in the entire universe. This was taken on my last visit to her and the only photo we had though I visited her oftentimes, didn't have the courage to do so, thought she's going to decline but she looked at the camera. I'll have another time to see you again, soon La. You take care and God Bless :)

I know it's too early to greet you but i was just too excited to shout it out 🤗.

NSTP2 - For A Good Cause

I found myself dragging up to a high hill almost every Saturday of the second semester which would really sweat us out. I'm doing this for our NSTP2 class and I reckon our class has the farthest area assignment yet we're good.

Before the semester ends, we're asked to write a reflection of what we've learned and it has to submitted next meeting. So here it goes.

I haven't learned a lot but there's quite a few things that I realized and that I should've had realized it long before.

I've always wanted to join a community service but never had a chance or perhaps I was too lazy to get involved with or didn't have enough courage to do so. So, the chance was given to me, which I can't excuse myself anymore and it's really a good experience. Though, it's very tiring every service, I found a sense of happiness and fulfillment especially if you see them happy of what we're doing and also if you've let your generosity flow with it.

Each class was divided by a group and each group has an assignment in the area and our group was assigned for literacy for kids which is more fun to me. And slowly, I saw myself like them when I was their age and I remember that being a kid was the one of the best moments of my life. I enjoyed every piece of it though there were bad times but they were being completely covered by the good times that I had.

kids on their snacks after the session

If there's a chance for me to continue doing this thing, I would love to do it with people or with children who's almost have nothing with them. It always tear my heart out to see people like them, and the most thing that I can do is to give them the food or the bottled water that I have in my bag or worse is to only watch them being like that and pray for them (sighs).

Have you also had a learning experience where you are helpless?

ps. i carelessly deleted all the photos that i took on our last visit, :(

Fire Prevention and Rescue 101

"Bombero, bombero, may sunog. Saan? Saan? Saan? Sa number 1." This is a song I've learned way back in my early years and I just remembered this when I was thinking of our little talk about Fire and Emergency Rescue in school today and it was an information that we all should know about.

Our speaker was Fire Officer 1 Oliver Ray Samaro, he's a registered nurse and now a firefighter, being one is what he always dreamed of doing. However, they are being bash because most of the times they're idle. They should be if there's no fire and who wants to have their houses burn into ashes?

In the event of fire, keep calm but do you know which number to dial? Dial 160, after they answer your call they have to verify this to the nearest police station in the area (some are prank callers) and it takes almost five minutes or more to confirm if there's really fire.

A typical fire truck holds water that could only last for 6 minutes, sorry it's obviously limited. So, they have to look for a

There are three elements that should be present to create a fire, they are OXYGEN, HEAT and FUEL. Absence of any of the three won't create or will stop the fire.

JaDine

I just woke up with the news that James Reid and Nadine Lustre are officially couple. I can't wait to shout this to the whole world that I'm super duper happy about it. I've never been so crazy like this before but it's their love tandem that I like the most. I don't know if they are doing this for their career but I would like to believe that their feelings are true to each other but whatever is the reason, I'm very happy for their revelation last night. Yeah, I know I'm too old to be like this but I can't help it, it has to explode like this.

I honestly, stopped watching On The Wings of Love in the midst of the series because I don't have enough time to watch it plus James Reid's issues, and I thought that my craziness of their team had gone passed but I found out that I was the same fan when I can't help not to watch the last two weeks of the series. They made me believe in "Kapag Mahal Ka, Babalikan Ka", the most used line in the series. Haaaaay, they're the best team so far. #mekiniBoi

Look What I've Got For Valentine's Day!

Valentines Day is a celebration of love. What I think is, we should celebrate love everyday and I don't think it's going to be hard for it will naturally show when it's true. When there's true love every thing that's good will follow.

It's Valentine's Day today and look what I've got yesterday. These little things are simple yet it feels I  am valued.
